Automated Database Backup

There is a database backup facility in MyBB but it might be nice to have an unattended version that could create backups on the server thus:

a) a daily backup at a preset time
b) an end-of-week backup
c) an end-of-month backup

Backups b) and c) could be copies of a selected day in a) and older backups could be automatically deleted in order to not fill the disc. The result would be some kind of backup of structure and data to fall back upon in the event of a disaster. Administrators could also set up automated FTP to copy these from the server to somewhere else in case of server disc failure.

  2. Albeit not as complex as your idea, it is implemented in MyBB 1.4 as Chasingu said. It utilizes the task system.
