hi maybe its a good idea to add a Avatar auto resize option in de Admin config

  3. I like the idea of having someone's avatar auto-resize to the correct size if it is too big. :)

  4. This isn't practical. If you make a small image larger on a resize it will pixelate. And making them smaller might ruin an existing avatars look. Better the member just change their avatar.

  5. This is already a feature in MyBB 1.4

    Large avatars are scaled down - but there are some changes here:

    a) In the Admin CP you can set how the resizing works - do not resize, automatically resize, give users the choice of resizing their large avatar.

    b) When users are given the choice, a checkbox appears on the change avatar page which is checked by default "Automatically resize my avatar if it is too large"

    This only applies to user uploaded avatars.

    labrocca, the way we look at it is that a large part of the target audience of forum owners are generally home users who may not know how to resize an image or may not have an application to do so (Windows XP by default). Anything we can do to make the end user experience better, we'll probably do.
