Maybe allow it so each user can edit their profile page even more and have their own blogs? |

Blogs are easily created with existing forum functionality privided that custom permisions applied. The link to the blog can be set as custom profile field too.
So, the blogs is an excessive feature imho.

I just like how IPB and Vbulliten have done theirs. I like how their user profiles are now with all of those features.

Well, I plan to have blogs in my MyBB installation. However I'm going to use the method described above. The reasons are following:
- blogs are the content source for the community as well as the thematic forum itself (i.e. blog is something ppl come for)
- any kind of content is stored seamlessly
- the user can easily switch between thematic forums and blogs using common navigation drop down menu
- the forums and blogs are searchable via the single search form -

Yea, I just like how it would be integrated together making the community grow even more as a whole. As it make the forum software even greater plus makes even more reason for other people to come check out their blogs and join the community to create their own blog and talk in the forums. I guess that probably is alot of work and probably would need alot of scripting it would probably be a part time script job as well. So I understand if it cannot be implemented but I think it would help many communities and as well make the MyBB script even more valuable.

I think this should be a modification. This is a discussion board software, not a blog community.
