Bold new topics when a post is made

In vBulletin, when a new thread or post is made in a topic, that topic is bolded.

I find this is good for looking at a list of topics and seeing which ones have new replies, as I don't think this feature currently exists. (I know the topic button is meant to light up, but this isn't as effective)

Could it be done?

  1. It depends. You could do it based on if the user has read it - similar to the icons many forums use - new, read, replied, etc. You could do it like that, but use a font-weight:bold, or font-weight: normal... depending on the status.
