A person registering would have to answer a simple math problem correctly to successfully register.

  1. what is the point of this?

    if it is to stop spam there is already the captcha and email verification.

    this would just put another barrier in to stop people registering to the forums.

  2. Agreed there.
    Plus, if the real purpose, is to see if kids have passed math class and know their math, it fails at this point, because every computer I know of has always had a calculator built in :S

  4. This wouldn't be too bad of an idea, although, I'd rather have a grammar test. Bc i rly dnt like ppl tlking lke dis on my f0rums!

  6. I Agree The math problem is Pointless I'd rather have a mp3 file they listen too and type down the numbers the voice says.

  8. Well, considering I don't even use the captcha image on my forum cause it's too darn hard to read, I would actually prefer this kind of verification. :D

  9. This kind of CAPTCHA is better than image or sound verification, IMO, as it works on non-graphical browsers (such as linx and screen readers). The ACP could have settings such as how many digits long the problem is, and which math rules are required or avoided (borrowing, carry-over, etc).

  10. But truly is someone going to want to have to do a math problem to look something up? That is like going to the gas station and they ask you to take a math test before you can get your gas. Who wants to do a math problem to register, either take the CAPTCHA or the verification, they really aren't that made. If the sound one gets to working it would be nice otherwise lets not make it very complicated.
