email updates - html, storing etc

Hi,

I know crakter (http://community.mybboard.net/showthread.php?tid=13294) does a mod for this but i would like to see the ability to mass mail with html as a core function on mybb.

Also it would be good if you could create templates for mass mail, e.g. newsletter template so it is easy to edit and send. Another nice thing would be for it to store all the emails sent so you have a back log.

Another nice idea would be the ability to email people who haven't visited the forum in a certain amount of time or to send to people with a number of posts or below to remind them the forum still exists.

  1. I don't think the templates are needed, but the HTML as a core feature would be nice. :)

    And the ability to email people who haven't visited/number of posts IMO should be a mod.

  2. I agree with this, but just to add on, I hope it also includes the following:

    - Preview Function(Must have!)
    - Allowing us to use the 'Language Packs' as in using things like "<a href="{$mybb->settings['homeurl']}">{$mybb->settings['homename']}</a>"

    The ability to use {$mbb->settings['blahblah']}.

    This would help to improve the Mass Email function.
