I think there should a page in the Admin CP that makes sure all the files of MyBB are upto date and in the right place. It should also detect files that should not be in the system. Basically it checks whether MyBB is installed correctly and if all the files are present. Some people might forget to update some files when updates are released and so this tool can help them make sure they updated correctly. Thanks.

For the installer, this may be possible. However, for the upgrader, it will have problems detecting files which were modified intentionally.
