Integrated subdomains

myBB should host subdomains with myBB integrated, so you can download the files to your own domain or have yourdomain.mybboard.net

  1. Huh? Isn't this better suited for the free MyBB forums websites that are out there?

    If they did this, that would mean a a chunk of their dev team would have to take on questions from the users, or they'd have to hire more technical support people.

  2. yourdomain.mybboard.net? Who's ever seen a forum software that actually does it as a sub domain? phpBB, vB, IPB, SMF? Nope.

    1) It's a security risk
    2) It would put lots of stress on the server
    3) You'd be unfairly getting a high Page Rank because the domain would be mybboard.net
    4) You'd have a big spam problem and probably mybb haters creating mybbsuxs.mybboard.net etc
