Event Invite via Message Thread (Kind of like Evite)

Basically this could be done using a similar system as the polls. Right now I can post a message inviting forum members to an event and use the poll (set to public results) with a Yes or No to let me know if they are coming. It would be nice if the invite could limit the amount of people, set a maximum + factor for any guests. And say Invite: instead of Poll: in the title. Also even better it would be great if you could take the date and time for the event and have it placed in the calendar. Any thoughts?
