Jump to post # in thread

If i am reading a thread, and i want to link someone to a post previously posted in the thread, i can put a link that will jump instead of loading the whole page.

I know that we can quote.. but sometime it is better just to start whole again from that post, also when the post is big it is not recommended to quote it.

* something like jump to top or to bottom *

  3. Ahh I think I understand now. So instead of having the page reload, you would like to have it instantly jump up or down to the particular post (like using the # after .php). Is that right?

    Also how would this deal with users who have a different "posts per page" setup?

    As mentioned before and as the cocept is this only works within one day because if anything is in another page then you need to reload the page not JUMP to a post in it.

    Im talking about JUMPING no go to that will have to reload the page. JUMP to post# within the same page.
