List All Member that have a username starting w/ A, B, etc.

You can sort the members by alphabetical order, but AFAIK, you can't just list all users that have their username start with A, or B, or C, etc.

  2. Yes, but that link your provided is a modification of the core files to get that working. I think this would be useful as something in the core script.

    And yes, you can multipage, but sometimes, when you want to find a username with a specific letter, it's annoying to have to guess what page it's on. Even worse with a larger forum.

  4. I'm upvoting this because I've been on a phpBB2 board before and had to sift through page after page of members just to find a name that was in the middle of the alphabet. Being able to find members by letter is far more convenient for larger message boards.

  7. Maybe a setting in the ACP to allow you to display it sorted by USERID, ALPHABERT or POSTS.

  8. The best solution for sorting would be to make each column clickable and then it'll sort on that column. Clicking again would reverse the sort order. There's times I want to sort alphabetically or by join date or something else.

    As for listing members by individual letter, that's a great idea and something I use often on my phpBB2 system. Paging through a whole lot of members is terrible though, having all members whose username begins with B listed on one page would be most useful.
