I am not sure how exactly it works right now, but ..

When you have to e-mail 10,000+ users, you just cannot go and click to send those 10,000 emails at once, or within interval of few seconds. However, if you have options like "run in every X minutes, sending Y emails per go", it can work good.

For example, the cronjob will run every 10 minutes, sending out 100 emails per go. Using that calculation, the 10,000 emails will be sent in less than 18 hours, at rate of 600 emails / hour. Which should keep you, your webhost, and the e-mail services like Yahoo/Hotmail happy.

I had written a modification for this, earlier for IPB 1.3 and instead of making a plugin, I realized it could be a more helpful addition now that MyBB is growing with all sorts of big forums moving into the land of MyBB.
