  1. Theoretically, it's a good idea. Practically, there are some problems implementing the feature :P

    The main problem is that we can't control when an external file is modified (ie. if someone links to an image on their webspace, they can change the image without MyBB knowing at any time). So we can check it once when a new signature is submitted, and perhaps every few weeks or so, but there's no way that we can remove the signature automatically instantaneously after a "bad" signature image is changed externally.

  5. If someone has a giant image, it's usually spotted pretty quickly.
