Message to poster when moderating the Thread/ post

It should be possible to send a message (PM or e-mail, selectable) to the original poster of a thread/ post when a moderator does something woth it.

That message should offer the possibility for a comment rationalizing the action.

More Suitable as Plugin

  1. This could make a good idea for a plugin. :)

    There is a plugin that can add a "Moderator" message, IIRC, already out.

  2. I can't find that plugin --- give a hint, or better a link please.

    If you refer no the modnotice plugin - that one doen't do it. To my understanding, it only adds a non-erasable comment inside the post

  3. myabe it could be an option addd to the acp in the registration /user/profile or user cp?
    was that iirc or jric IIRC i guess yeah that seems kind of appropriate way of handeling certain issues than escalating them? or a pm?
