Messanger directory behaviour

Situation: A user wants to delete some messanges in the directory 'Send Items'. After deleting these messanges the directory will automatically change to 'Inbox'. A user who will not recognize this litlle change is now deleting some messanges from the 'Inbox'.
This is not the behaviour the user expected. It should stay in the directory the user changed in bevor and not changing to the 'Inbox'. This is annoying.

Or make an "overlay" message, like the "Loading.." one for when you post messages, and make it a confirmation if they want to stay in that folder, or go to the inbox..And also, I think they should make a "Empty" button for the sent folder, so that you can delete all the messages in your sent folder, THEN it WOULD be neccesary to redirect to the inbox since the sent folder is now empty.
