Would it be possible to have a plug-in or built-in feature that users can create there own Social groups. Like this: http://www.rpgnsider.com/gallery/file.php?n=143&w=o . not sure if this can be done.

A forum is a forum. I hated when vB did this. Best off as a mod if anything.

This could work as a mod, but it isn't necessary to be built-in.
When you say a "social group," does this mean that you can just join the group and have access to the group's forum? Because you can kind of do that through the new MyBB 1.4 that's coming out.

@Shadow82x: Whats wrong with this?
@lupus6x9: So in 1.4 i can set up something like a guy's corner and a girl's corner sort of thing and then create groups and then its like a 2ndary group? But i meant kind of a little area where you can join then they could upload imaes and chat between users that are in the group and if the owner sets it so that only members of the group can see the content.

No, you can't do such thing in that way, but you can make a forum and change the permission to that group.
Not the same but the most things can be done. -

I don't get why people hate this so much. I like social groups, I wish mybb would've added something like this and have an option to either enable or disable it.

A forum can be used as a forum rpg. In fact, forum rpgs are the fourthmost common kind of rpg, and the sixthmost kind of forum. But yeah, I think it's better as a mod.
