Title says it all, make spammers work for their money. A option to disable both mycode and html for all new users until they have made xx ammount of posts. This is the most needed function i can think of to help prevent spam on mybb.

More Suitable as Plugin

  1. This is possible with a plugin but I'm not sure if this really needs to be in the default installation.

  2. Why 20 posts? I think 5 posts would be a considerable amount. Even so, how would setting a post limit change anything yet? It's more than enough to have a plugin that verifies if you're a human or not or a simple test. Let alone, the captcha on myBB works well against spam bots. I've never seen spam bots on any myBB forum I attend to, either way.

    But what the heck, I vote for this.

  4. oh thats not to too bad of an idea, but thers alot more than that as a spam pkg, , yet its a good start, id like to see the number of posts to be a admin option to select not a given!

  5. Couldn't this be already done by setting up a Group and giving that group permissions to how you want, then having the post count reached, move the Group members to another Group?
